ATLANTA, August 14, 2024/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – U.S. Olympian Jeff Galloway is thrilled to announce the 41st anniversary of the Kaiser Permanente Corporate Run, Walk & Roll Fitness Program, now under the new management of FRESHJUNKIE Racing. Set to take place on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 7 p.m. in Atlanta’s iconic Piedmont Park, this workplace-focused fitness initiative promises an exciting, revamped, and refreshed experience for participants. The Kaiser Permanente Corporate Run, Walk & Roll will once again be Atlanta’s largest office party!
As the longest running 5K event in Atlanta, The Kaiser Permanente Corporate Run Walk and Roll is an opportunity to reconnect with co-workers, friends, and family. This year’s 5K is a great way to kick off or maintain your fitness goals, no matter where you are on your fitness journey while celebrating with live music, cold drinks, and hot food. Participants can run, walk, or roll utilizing a wheelchair, making the event inclusive for all.
To ensure participants are ready for race day, the event provides a comprehensive 8-week training guide suitable for both seasoned athletes and beginners. Training is accessible in two formats: a printable guide and U.S. Olympian Jeff Galloway’s Run Walk Run App. Whether training as a group or individually, participants can prepare for a strong 5K finish. Team captains will receive a complete suite of digital and printable resources, including email templates, graphics, social media assets, and downloadable Let’s Move Training plans, to energize their teams for race day.
In addition to the in-person event at Piedmont Park, a virtual option allows participants worldwide to join in the fun and complete the 5K on their terms. Virtual participants will receive race swag by mail, including a t-shirt, and a custom 5K finisher’s medal, just like those attending in person.
This year also marks Kaiser Permanente of Georgia’s 20th anniversary as the title sponsor, underscoring the organization’s commitment to fostering a healthy, happy, and fully inclusive workforce across the city, state, and country. Through their continued support of community events like this, Kaiser Permanente empowers Atlantans to lead healthier, more active lifestyles.
“At Kaiser Permanente we understand wellness is a journey, not a destination,” said Sandra Harris, vice president of sales and account management for Kaiser Permanente Georgia. “As the proud sponsor of this annual event for the past 20 years, we are excited to once again join metro Atlanta’s businesses and communities for a day of fun and fitness as we renew our shared commitment to a healthy, brighter, and energized workplace.”
Registration is open to individuals, families, and corporate teams alike. You don’t need to be part of a corporate group to participate—everyone is welcome to join in this celebration of fitness and community. The in-person entry fee is $35 before August 19, increasing after that date, while the virtual entry fee is $40 before August 19, also increasing afterward. ABOUT JEFF GALLOWAY
Jeff Galloway competed in the 1972 U.S. Olympics in the 10K. Since then Jeff has devoted his life to running and promoting fitness for everyone. More than a million runners and walkers have read his books, attended his retreats or running schools, received e-coaching, had an individual consultation or joined his training programs. Jeff designed his run-walk-run method in 1973 to help beginners start running. Strategic walking breaks allow runners to control fatigue, which helps to eliminate significant running injuries. Surveys show that veteran runners often improve their finish times when they shift to run, walk and run.
